Capacity Building for Middle-Management Legal Officers
The Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations (MoJLR) in partnership with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Namibia-Angola office, is hosting a 4-day Leadership Training Initiative in Windhoek, aimed at strengthening leadership, management, and professional competencies of 36 middle-management legal officers within the Ministry. The fully funded capacity building initiative forms part of a three-phase strategic internal capacity-building programme aimed at enhancing institutional capability and improving service delivery in support of the rule of law and justice sector development. Phase one facilitated by the Saki Nikodemus Institute for Practical Leadership and Hermien Speaks, targets Chief Legal Officers and Deputy Chief Legal Officers in the Directorates of Legislative Drafting, Legal Services, Law Reform, and the Master of the High Court to strengthen skills pertaining to Leadership, Management and Supervisory Skills; High-Performance Organisational Culture; Change Management; Inter-personal and Communication Skills; Emotional Intelligence; Team Cohesion. Ultimately, the partnership is geared toward strengthening the Ministry's institutional leadership capacity, whilst enhancing professional excellence within the legal cadre to support a high performance and service delivery orientated culture.

Celebrating 40 Years of Kuiseb Publishers
In celebration of Kuiseb Publishers’ 40-year anniversary, the Namibia Scientific Society (NNS) in partnership with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Namibia Library and Archive Services (NSAL), are launching the Publication titled "Namibia Land of Many Cultures" at the Namibia Scientific Society. With over 100 invited guests, this celebratory evening aims to merge culture, and community and reflect on four decades of publishing whilst the editors will share an overview of this the new book which highlight the richness and diversity of the Namibian nation. ECSO Project Needs Assessment
Erongo, //Karas, Kunene
The new "Empowering CSOs, Youth, Women and Marginalised communites as Equal Partners in Democracy" (ECSO) project which is co-funded by the European Union and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung for the next 2 and a half years will commence activities this coming week. The project which will be co-implemented by Women's Action for Development and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung will be holding it's first activities in Erongo, //Karas and Kunene regions where meetings will be hosted in the targeted regions with selected Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to introduce the project and assess their needs for upcoming capacity building trainings. The implementing team will be in //Karas region from 4 - 5 December, in Erongo region from 7 - 8 December and finally Kunene from 14 - 15 December.
