The elections in April are very important for Nigeria's democratic development in the future. In the past, there were thousands of dead people by that. That is why the KAS arranges a two-days lasting conference together with the Catholic Ecclesiastical Province of Abuja and the Muslim Consultative Forum on which the reputable dignitaries are calling for peaceful elections.

Speakers are religious leaders like the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the archbishop of Abuja for the different christian denominations and the sultan of Sokoto for the Muslims. Traditional sovereigns from different parts of the country, leading representatives of the civilian society and media are going to confirm this call with presentations and discussions. At the end, the leading presidential candidates will be obliging themselves and their followers to be peaceful and fair.

The intention is to create a series of events with outstanding representatives of Nigeria who will be discussing fundamental questions of the country in similar manner in the future.
