In the first week of July, there will be a workshop for journalists in cooperation with JDPC (Justice, Development and Peace Commission) – Ibadan, in Enugu. On the topic ‚ Analyzing and Reporting Conflicts’ selected journalists anew get the possibility to discuss with experts about reporting conflicts and to obtain further education.

How to report conflicts without making it worse? How neutral can or should be the reports about escalating conflicts? These and similar questions will be discussed during the workshop with journalists from Enugu, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers State.

Last year, among others journalists of the West and North were focused in the workshop, so this time it is their colleagues of the Southeast and South – which is the most crisis area of Nigeria. Accordingly the main target group when it comes to the prevention of crisis that is why this workshop is (especially here) so important.
