Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is organizing a round table in the policy dialogue series for media and civil society organizations on the importance, role and contribution of religion and religious leaders to the upcoming 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

These policy dialogue series serve as a platform for media practitioners and selected representatives of civil society organizations to meet, exchange ideas and work out recommendations for decision makers on issues bothering among others on good governance, security, economy and conflict management. A presentation on the above topic shall be delivered by Jacob Kehinde Ayantayo, Professor of Religious Studies, University of Ibadan. He will throw lights on critical position of religion in the periods before, during and after elections in Nigeria, thereby highlighting the dangers of politics playing with the religions, and how violent electoral conflicts can be prevented in 2019.
