The aim and objective of this partner workshop is to bring the partners together to share ideas on the preparation for the strategic plan for 2015, which as an election year, may pose some difficulties. As many are aware, election years mean that more than a whole month will be taken out for elections, and this reduces the time for activities. Not only this, the uncertainty of who will win, and the possible post electoral violence will have to be put into consideration.

The partners presented their partnership with KAS over the years, and suggested possible activities for further partnership in 2015. Recommendations were made for new areas of partnership and suggestions about the timing of activities, so that all partners could align their activities in the year.

In the second part of this workshop, the partners highlighted challenges they have been facing especially in the administrative area in partnering with KAS over the years, and the possible solutions were discussed.

Mrs. Pamela Onyia explained the administration guidelines as given by the Head Office and binding on the KAS office Nigeria. She assured her best cooperation as she could to the partners.

Some of the partners include Cross River State House of Assembly and Plateau State House of Assembly, represented by the Clerks and the Deputy Clerks of the Houses, Nigeria Army College of Logistics (NACOL), IMPACT for Change from Lagos, Centre for Human Development and Social Transformation from Port Harcourt, Centre-LSD from Abuja, JDPC-Jos, NOSAD Calabar, COMPPART from Uyo, and the last day witnessed the participation of the National Planning Commission (NPC). NPC used the medium to implore KAS partners in Nigeria to register with the commission, so that coordination of international and local NGOs will become easier for all.

Mrs. Behrendt-Kigozi, the Resident Representative of KAS, thanked all partners for their commitment in working with KAS, applauded them for the good work which they do for their country and assured them of further assistance and co-operation from KAS.
