The participants will be made up of Clerks and Deputy Clerks from the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Army, Air Force, Defence, Human Rights, Justice, Drugs Narcotics and Financial Crimes, Federal Road Safety Corps, National Security and Intelligence, Navy and Police Affairs. This workshop is aimed at building the capacity of Clerks and Deputy Clerks on best parliamentary practices and to explore ways of strengthening their technical skills and knowledge. The workshop further aims at improving the skills of Clerks and Deputy Clerks in fostering a better relationship between security related Committees and relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.

The workshop is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the security sector reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.
