With one hour “Vision Nigeria” weekly from the locations Abuja, Enugu, Kaduna, and Port Harcourt, a broad spectrum of topics is provided, which always emphasizes long-term development issues as well as the latest political situation. In February 2012, KAS and partners set the following focus points:

In Enugu with Patrick Enyogai (every Friday, from 1-2 PM on FM Coal City 92.8)

- The debate about the limitation of fuel subsidy is still going on. On February 3, Nkiru Nwobodo examines in Vision Nigeria possible effects for women and children.

- With the same topic, on February 10 Ezo Godson discusses the possibility of an increase in criminality rates as side effect of the reduction of fuel subsidy.

- Bloody conflicts are part of Nigeria’s daily routine at the moment. The economist Okpe Alphosus evaluates on February 17 the impact of cultural practices as instrument for peace.

- Fighting an invisible enemy. With the terror sect Boko Haram, the country faces a new challenge that has never been there before. Ebere Amarizu from the police force in Enugu debates with our listeners on February 24 possible ways out of the terrorism in Nigeria.

In Port Harcourt with Colins Imoh (every Thursday, from 3-4 PM on FM Rivers 99.1)

- How is the President from the Niger Delta contributing to the development of his region? On Febraury 2, Chris Oregu and Austin Sado analyze the socio-economic development of one of Nigeria’s conflict prone hot-spots under President Goodluck Jonathan.

- With the decision by the Supreme Court against the tenure extension, five governors had to step down immediately. Ogbonna Arochukwu and Chris Ajoku discuss the court ruling on February 9.

- Bayelsa State has voted. Vivian Benlowu and Barrister West Saolab evaluate the election on February 16.

In Kaduna with Yanwaidi E. Zwahu (every Thursday, from 5-6 PM on FM Capital Sound 90.9)

- The nation-wide strike as reaction to the removal of fuel subsidy unified people across ethnic boundaries and went hand in hand with a vivid public debate. What are the implications for Nigeria’s democracy? Maxwell Kyon and Dr. Seth Akutson analyze the topic on February 2.

- Deadly attacks by the terror sect Boko Haram are occurring almost on a daily basis in the north of the Country. Lately, bombs exploded in Kaduna for the second time within a few weeks. Colonel Dangiwa Umar, a former governor of Kaduna State, discusses with our listeners the challenges in northern Nigeria.

- The former security chief of the nation, Alh Umaru Shinkafi, argues on February 16 for stronger policing in order to control the security situation.
