Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is cooperating with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), to organize a second capacity building workshop for additional members of Governing Boards of key federal government parastatals and commissions who were newly appointed.

​​​​​​​Through this workshop, senior government officials would be exposed to the tenets of maximizing human resources, skills development and improve competencies for formulating and implementing good government policies / agenda that meet the needs and aspirations of the people so as to attract citizens’ engagement and trust in governance processes and elicit willingness to contribute to national productivity. Participants at the workshop, who are mainly CEOs and members of Governing Boards of key federal parastatals and commissions, will include the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the DG of Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), the DG of Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), senior officers of the agencies, the KAS Resident Representative, among others. Resource persons will include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, serving and retired Permanent Secretaries, heads of key government MDAs, and think-tanks / experts in governance and public service reforms. This second workshop for members who could not join the first batch, aims at strengthening the capability of the senior government officials to embrace best practices for driving developmental governance, increase political will to pursue good service delivery, optimize government processes to reduce wastages arising from inefficiencies and lack of transparency in Government systems and structures, and raise the standard for increased productivity. The workshop is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support towards sustaining democracy, governance, and Security Sector Reform in Nigeria.
