Town-Hall-Meeting in Calabar: 1-Day Forum on Citizens Conversation with Elected Public Officials

In collaboration with the National Orientation Agency, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Abuja organized a town hall meeting in Calabar on June 7, 2016 at the Channel View Hotel.


KAS and State Parliaments, Workshop on Effective Law Making

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung held a workshop on effective law-making for Plateau, Cross River, Ogun, Oyo and Enugu States Houses of Assembly between the 30th of May and 3rd of June. The event took place at the Obudu Cattle Ranch.



As a way of equipping the military and other security agencies with peace-keeping and conflict analysis skills, Konrad Adenauer in partnership with the Impact for Change and Development organized a workshop between the 9th and 13th of May 2016.


Roundtable April 21 on Leadership and Accountability

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung organized a roundtable for members of the public on the 21st of April, 2016. The roundtable was to address the issue of leadership and accountability. The event took place at the Protea Hotel, Abuja.


Roundtable on Corruption in Governance and Society

The Roundtable was organized by KAS to assist in curbing corruption. The discussion looked into causes of corruption, policy failures and how society can build a sound democracy without corruption. The workshop closed with a communique.

KAS Nigeria successfully organized a two-days high level international conference with the theme “Tackling Security Challenges in West Africa: Embracing Coordination and Cooperation”, which was held on 16 and 17 July 2019, in Abuja, Nigeria. KAS Nigeria partnered with Nigeria’s House of Representative’ Committee on Army to organize the conference with funding from the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Training of Trainers of NSCDC

Lecturers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were trained on new materials for enhancing their lectures on civic education themes and peace and conflict issues.The training was conducted from 25th to 29th of May 2015 at the NSCDC Academy in Abeokuta.

Interactive Workshop on Mitigating Violence

This 2-day workshop was held in partnership with COMMUNITY POLICING PARTNERS FOR JUSTICE, SECURITY AND DEMOCRATIC REFORMS (COMPPART) at Entry Point Hotel and Suites, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State from March 10 - 11, 2014.It was a security and conflict prevention workshop for the Zone 6 police zonal command, which comprises of Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers and Ebonyi States. The region is known to have serious security issues especially land disputes, youth violence, gang or cult wars, which have hampered development and trust among the different ethnic groups in the region.

A seminar on German federal elections with journalists, 5 high ranking representatives from the Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Nigeria Police took place in the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation office on 22.09.2013.
