“DIGITAL EUROPE: YOUTH POLICIES FOR PROSPERITY”

The Democrat Youth Community of Europe, a host in Skopje

The international umbrella organization of the youth wings of Christian-Democratic, Conservative and like-minded parties of Europe, DEMYC (Democrat Youth Community of Europe) was a host of the event under the title “Digital Europe: Youth Policies for Prosperity”. The event took place between 7th and 10th April in Skopje, organized in cooperation with the Youth Forces of VMRO DPMNE, supported by Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Wilfred Martens Centre for European Studies.

Studien- und Dialogprogramm für Politiker und Parlamentarier aus der Republik Mazedonien

Auf Einladung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung sind in dieser Woche Politiker und Parlamentarier aus der Republik Mazedonien zu Gast in Berlin. Zur Förderung einer kultivierten politischen Auseinandersetzung und Streitkultur in Mazedonien soll über die Wichtigkeit des politischen Dialogs, politischer Kultur und Kommunikation gesprochen werden. Das Besucherprogramm wurde vom Team Inlandsprogramme organisiert und wird von Johannes Rey, Leiter des Auslandsbüros Mazedonien und Kosovo, begleitet. Verantwortlich für die Durchführung von Seiten des Teams Inlandsprogramme: Ingrid Garwels.

Christian Kremer visited Macedonia

KAS hosted Mr. Christian Kremer, Deputy Secretary General of the European People's Party. During his visit, Mr. Kremer met with high officials and important stakeholders with whom he discussed the current political situation and the future challenges for Macedonia on its path towards the EU.

Multi-religious Calendar 2016

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with the five religious communities in Republic of Macedonia has issued a Multi-religious Calendar 2016, including the more significant religious holidays from each religious community: Macedonian Orthodox Church, Islamic Religious Community, Catholic Church, United Methodist Church and Jewish Community. This calendar is issued traditionally by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in joint cooperation with the five religious communities since year 2011.

Equal partnership is a key for successful cooperation

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the foundation in Macedonia, KAS organized the first Macedonian–German Forum under the topic “Political education as the basis of democracy: 15 years Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Macedonia”. The KAS office was pleased with the presence of Michael Thielen, the Secretary General of KAS who was the guest of honor at the celebration of the anniversary.

STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR STUDENT COUNCIL

This pilot project is implemented by Konrad Adenauer Foundation in partnership with Youth Can and it aims to build the capacity of the high school students to create their own sustainable council within the school system and act as multipliers.

It is our pleasure to announce a call for submissions for cartoons/short comic strips! We are looking for young artists to interpret environmental issues humorously. Submissions are open on a rolling basis.
