Europe Day 2023

Celebration of Europe Day – 9 May

On 18 May 2023 the event dedicated to the celebration of Europe Day – 9 May was organized by the European Movement of North Macedonia, in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies. After the welcoming addresses, a panel discussion on the topic “The future of EU enlargement – What are the benefits for North Macedonia and the European Union?” was held.

Interreligious Classroom

Learn from each other to live with each other

On May 17th, the project "Interreligious Classroom" took place. The event was organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in close cooperation with the Faculty of Orthodox Theology "St. Clement of Ohrid” and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences from Skopje. About thirty participants, including theology students, representatives of religious communities, experts in the field of religion, and other interested individuals, took part in the event aiming to foster meaningful exchanges of ideas and experiences.

NajGLASni! - annual award for high school participation

The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation and the NGO LEAD, organized for the second time the event "The Loudest!- NajGLASni!", which took place from 09.-11.05.2023. Six of the most committed student councils in the country come together for this purpose.

At the end of 2022, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” - Skopje initiated the new phase of the project "Creating a European Municipality: Integrity Policy for Zero Corruption". In the first phase of this project, the Municipality of Aerodrom was selected. While in the second phase, the municipalities of Novo Selo and Gevgelija were selected.

The role of the Parliament in times of contemporary democratic challenges

From 06 to the 08 April, KAS in cooperation with the Party Research and Analytical Center "Ljubisa Georgievski" organizing training seminar intended for the Members of the Macedonian Assembly from VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition. Тhis training seminar included professional presentations and workshops led by numerous domestic experts, international representatives, current and former politicians, experts and theorists regarding the adequate presentation of MPs in the Parliament, communication with citizens, building strategic approach to prevention and management of modern democratic challenges in Macedonian society.

Political Academy 2023

The leaders of tomorrow

From 31 March to 02 April, The Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Party Research and Analytical Center “Ljubisa Georgievski” organized the first module of the Political Academy 2023 entitled “The leaders of tomorrow”. Intended for selected young participants, this module included expert presentations and workshops led by numerous domestic experts, international representatives, current and former politicians, experts and theoreticians regarding the basics of leadership, with a particular focus on the functioning of the political system and the Macedonian political processes.

NajGLASni! - annual award for high school participation

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Association Leaders for Education, Activism and Development with the support of the Union of High School Students, as active supporters and promoters of student participation over the past years, are second year in a row giving the award for high school participation, in recognition of the activity and work of these student bodies aimed at improving the position of students in their schools, as well as their involvement in the school processes.
