Eine glaubwürdige Beitrittsperspektive für den Westbalkan – eine Bilanz zwischen den Gipfeltreffen in Sofia und London

Westbalkan-Botschafterkonferenz

Bereits am 17. Mai trafen die Staats- und Regierungschefs der EU auf dem Gipfel von Sofia erstmalig seit 15 Jahren wieder mit ihren Amtskollegen aus dem Westbalkan zusammen und verständigten sich auf die Erklärung von Sofia, welche die uneingeschränkte Unterstützung der EU-Staaten für die europäische Perspektive des Westbalkans bekräftigte. Am 10. Juli 2018 findet dann in London die 5. Konferenz zum Westlichen Balkan im Rahmen des sogenannten Berlin-Prozesses statt. Zwischen diesen beiden Gipfeln lud die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung am 25. Juni in Berlin zur Westbalkan-Botschafterkonferenz ein.

From 4th until 6th of May in Kavadarci the fourth “Cathedra Adenauer” seminar was organized with participation of more than 35 students from different Universities from Macedonia.

MODERN PEOPLE’S PARTIES VS NATIONAL POPULISM

This event took place in Kavaradci from 4th until 6th of May as a follow up of the Training of Trainers seminar of young politicians and professionals that took place in Brussels from 20-24 of March.

CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION IN THE WATER MANAGEMENT FIELD

The KAS together with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje and the School of Civil Engineering at the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki from 15-17 April 2018 organized a regional student workshop.

On the 18th of April, the third Inter-religious classroom took place for the students from the Orthodox Faculty and Faculty of Islamic Sciences on the topic of “The importance of the Holy Books in promoting peace - Focus Quran”

ANALYSIS OF THE PUBLIC OPINION ABOUT THE MACEDONIAN PROCESS OF ACCESSION TO THE EU 2014-2017

Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with the Institute for Democracy Societas Civilis from Skopje promoted the research “Analysis of the public opinion about the Macedonian process of accession to the European Union 2014 – 2017” by the author Ivan Damjanovski;
