From 28.-30.01.2010, a joint seminar for Palestinan and Israeli Academics will take place in Jerusalem.
The seminar is an initiative of the German Development Service in the framework of the Civil Peace Service Program, implemented in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Ramallah (KAS). Partner in the implementation of the seminar is the Peace Research in the Middle East (PRIME) and the Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The focus of the seminar is placed on the subject of the collective narrative and its role in shaping the Israeli and the Palestinian national identities, aiming to explore the role of narrative in forming and maintaining the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and its potential role as possible vehicle for solving and transforming it.
