Hans-Gert Pöttering, former President of the European Parliament, has been elected new president of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS). The election of Pöttering, who is still Member of the European Parliament, took place during the general meeting of the Executive Board of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung last Friday, 4th December 2009, in Berlin.
