A roundtable meeting was organized jointly by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy – MIFTAH, under the framework of monitoring the performance and the achievements of the PLC during this year.The roundtable meeting was entitled “Nature of the Legislative Council Function during the Political Split,” and took place in Bethlehem on November 1st, 2009.

International Justice and Human Rights

The ninth legal encounter for this year was held on “International Justice and Human Rights,” at the Institute of Las (IOL) at Birzeit University on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009. The encounter was organized jointly by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the IOL under the framework of the free legal education approach, and was targeting students of the International Relations Department, in Birzeit University, faculty of Graduate Studies.

In cooperation with the German Development Service (DED) and the Palestinian Wasatia movement the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung successfully held an interdisciplinary conference on „Religious Narratives on Jerusalem and their Role in Peace Building“. The conference offered Christian, Muslim and Jewish participants an opportunity to exchange their Narratives on Jerusalem.
