Event reports
This year 22 trainees of Palestinian municipalities and local councils, ministries, local governments and other public entities received their diplomas. The certificates were handed by representatives of the university, KAS and the governorate of Bethlehem. In his speech, Prof. Usamah Shahwan, lecturer at the ICP, expressed his appreciations of the graduates’ engagement. The students fostered their administrative and technical knowledge in various fields of public administration alongside their work commitments within the period of one year. At the same time they had the chance to implement their new knowledge at their respective working places.
Mr. Felix Dane, Head of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in the Palestinian Territories, illustrated the impacts of effective administration on a country’s positive development using the example of Germany. Therefore, the KAS is proud of supporting this unique diploma programme in the Palestinian Territories for the past three years.
