The project is co-funded by the European Commission and the German Ministry for Development Cooperation and covering five countries in Southeast-Asia: Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. During the inception and management workshop the project coordination unit, based at the premises of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Manila, and the partner organizations meet for a five days workshop to lay the ground for the successful project implementation. The purpose of the workshop is to ensure a common understanding of the project´s objectives, results and activities among all key stakeholders. During the management section the team members will agree amongst others on project milestones, internal project monitoring, budget controlling and accounting issues. At the end of the workshop, the project will be ready to start with the implementation of activities and to set up the national implementation offices in each of the participating countries.
The workshop is supported by the KAS head office with specific support of the EU-project team and the geographic desk for Southeast-Asia.
