This conference frames cybersecurity as a strategic geopolitical frontier, a digital frontline where power, influence, innovation, and governance converge. It aims to elevate the discussion from operational and technical considerations to a strategic assessment of how cybercapabilities and governance choices will shape the MENA region’s security, resilience, and geopolitical positioning in the decades ahead.

To mark the 10th anniversary of KAS PolDiMed, a regional conference titled “Renewed Mediterranean Partnerships for Efficiency, Synergies for Positive Impact” took place from December 3 to 6, 2025, in Tunisia. The event brought together partners, experts, and stakeholders from across the Mediterranean to celebrate a decade of dialogue and discuss the way forward in shaping a shared vision such an exercise requires exploring new forms of cooperation at the institutional, civil society, business, and local levels.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung's Regional Programme on Energy Security and Climate Change in the Middle East and North Africa (KAS-REMENA) joined forces again with the Policy Center for the New South to convene the second meeting of the Mediterranean Energy Experts Circle. Held in Rabat, Morocco from April 22nd to 24th, 2024, the meeting focused on the topic of "Shaping a Resilient and Cooperative Mediterranean Energy Transition: Lessons Learned and New Challenges."

Mediterranean Women Digital Summit 2021

Accelerating Digital Transformation of Women-led SMEs

In its 4th edition, this year’s Mediterranean Women Digital Summit convened female activists, entrepreneurs and experts to discuss the digitalization of businesses. The summit adopted a hybrid form with a significant presence of participants and speakers in Tunis, and connected participants through Zoom from different countries of the South Mediterranean region. The summit stretched from 22-23 September 2021 and focused on “accelerating Digital Transformation of Women-led SMEs” in the context of Covid-19 and how it can improve economic empowerment for women in the region.

Public Discussion with German & Libyan Voices

On 19 August 2021, an online seminar was held to discuss the importance of family businesses for economic progress, highlighting the role they play in Germany as the backbone of the economy and their potential for the recovering Libyan market. The highly interesting event, which was attended by a large number of Libyan family entrepreneurs, was held under the patronage of H.E. Salama Gwil, Libyan Minister of State for Economic Affairs.
