The Energy Storage Summit Japan (ESSJ) 2016 held on November 8-9 in Tokyo provides a unique platform for various stakeholders including policymakers, scientists and business representatives from Japan, Asia, US and Europe to debate on policy and legal frameworks, development trends and technical advancement in the field of energy storage systems .

The summit and industry fair covers the following issues:

  • Hydrogen storage & thermal storage
  • Renewable energy integration
  • Smart grid, micro grid, off grid & decentralized energy supply
  • Financing energy storage
In addition to presenting the KAS Regional Project Energy security and climate change in Asia-Pacific (RECAP), Dr. Peter Hefele, director of RECAP, will share his insights on the German “Energy Transition” in a panel discussion.
