Our Hong Kong Foundation Luncheon Discussion KAS RECAP
Our Hong Kong Foundation Luncheon Discussion

Green finance is one of the key topics of KAS RECAP in Asia-Pacific. On 19 October 2017, Our Hong Kong Foundation officially launched a report on “Landscape Study for Strategic Development of Green Bond Market in Hong Kong”. KAS RECAP has contributed to this paper by providing financial experts in China. Dr. Peter Hefele, Director of KAS RECAP has also been one of the consultants to the authors.

In the luncheon discussion following the presentation of the report, the panelists shared insights into opportunities and challenges for Hong Kong brought by the rapid development of the global and Chinese green bond markets. They recognized the city’s potential to become a financial hub for worldwide green projects’ investments, verification and certification. This can only be achieved by joint collaboration between the Government, business and citizens – and with linking up to other international capital markets.
