The KAS Regional Programme “Alliances for Democracy and Development with Latin America” (ADELA) and our partner Sustainable Innovation, Development & Equality (SIDE) based in Tunisia organize this year's SALMA Gender Dialogue conference "Towards a Better Representation of Women in Top-Leading-Positions”.  The Project “Strategic Alliances: Latin America Meeting Africa” SALMA was founded in 2019 by the two signatories. The project aims to initiate and strengthen the ties between the two neighboring continents Africa and Latin America. 

The high-level conference will congregate representatives from Africa, the Americas, and Europe to analyze the actual situation of women in professional hierarchies in the different regions. Another goal of the conference will be to elaborate recommendations for national governments and international institutions to support the access of women to positions with high responsibilities in politics, economy, and society.
