Academy 2063: MENA Youth Green’lab.

In partnership with KAS-REMENA, Atlas For Development organized a bootcamp for 35 young people from 14 countries in the MENA region. Over the course of a week, participants had the opportunity to experience a rich curriculum related to sustainable development issues, inspired by the African Union's Agenda 2063 model. High-level panelists also participated in the event, including ambassadors, the World Bank's director in Morocco, the Human Rights Council, the former Irish prime minister, and the Policy Center for the New South, Morocco's largest think tank on climate and resource availability.

During the bootcamp, part of the content was reserved for participants who facilitated some thematic workshops for the benefit of other youth in order to strengthen the sharing of experiences and the transfer of skills between different countries in the region. It was noted that climate diplomacy can be a vehicle for dialogue in the region because of the transboundary aspect of the problem and the need to think of common solutions to face these new climate risks.
