Details
The Application Folder must contain:
- - CV,
- - the application form completed with your information,
- - an essay of maximum 2 pages regarding a civic project idea that might improve situation in your school or community; mention how the young from your community might be involved in the process of change.
The selection process will consist of the following stages:
- - Selecting the written applications: 1-8 of July 2015;
- - Interviews on Skype as a tie breaker for candidates: 8-20 of July 2015.
Both selected and rejected candidates will be notified via email.
What is School for Democracy ?
- - An integrate program of 5 days in which we will be approaching themes such as innovative teaching methods inspired by non-formal education thru which young can develop their interest for the community and acknowledge the importance of taking part in public life; also, we will debate real democracy, we will be preparing the participation in the process of decision making and we will involve the young in civic actions.
- - Support for civic projects in the school year 2015-2016. With the financial support of the organizers, alongside the participants we will develop and implement seminars designed to train students. Also, the facilitators of School for Democracy will help you prepare the content of the project.
- - Participation is free, the organizers will cover the costs for training materials, meals and accommodation in Sinaia and also the equivalent of 50% of transportation cost (by car or second-class train).
