Der letzte Zwischenbericht der EU-Kommission vor der Gesamtbewertung im Sommer 2012

Im Sommer 2012 wird die EU-Kommission eine Gesamtbewertung der Fortschritte vorlegen, die Bulgarien und Rumänien seit ihrem EU-Beitritt 2007 im Rahmen des Kooperations- und Kontrollverfahrens erzielt haben.

Durch dieses Projekt unterstützen wir eine Veröffentlichung ausgewählter Entscheidungen des Verfassungsgerichts der Republik Albanien zu diesem Thema, jeweils versehen mit einem kurzen Kommentar von Frau Dr. Arta Vorpsi (Verfassungsexpertin, Rechtsberaterin und Verfassungsrichterin). Die Publikation wird Ende des jahres verfügbar sein.

Die Reformen müssen fortgesetzt werden

Der Bericht der EU-Kommission an das Europäische Parlament und den Rat über die Fortschritte Bulgariens und Rumäniens im Rahmen des Kooperations- und Kontrollverfahrens beginnt traditionell mit einer zusammenfassenden Einleitung, die im vergangenen Jahr nicht unterschiedlicher hätte ausfallen können.

Wird Kroatien 2013 der Europäischen Union beitreten und damit das selbstgestellte Ziel erreichen? Diese Frage wurde gerade in den vergangenen Monaten immer wieder gestellt. Jetzt scheint der Durchbruch deschafft. Dabei stand die grundsätzliche Bereitschaft, Kroatien in die Gemeinschaft aufzunehmen, in allen der derzeit 27 Mitgliedsstaaten außer Frage. Auch waren bereits 31 der 35 Kapitel des bei Beitrittsvertragverhandlungen üblichen „screenings“ erfolgreich geschlossen worden.

REPORT: The old and new Romanian Superior Council of Magistracy

On November 1st, 2010, the Romanian Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) changed its composition. The judges and prosecutors from all over Romania elected their new representatives in the body constitutionally designed to protect the independence of the judiciary. The Rule of Law Program South East Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung tried to follow the latest developments of the most important institution in the process of reforming the Romanian justice system. The Short History of the Romanian Lustration Law

Short political reports of the KAS offices abroad

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is a political foundation. Our offices abroad are in charge of over 200 projects in more than 120 countries. The country reports offer current analyses, exclusive evaluations, background information and forecasts - provided by our international staff.

Translation of Federal Constitutional Court decisions

In order to strengthen the institutional and judicial cooperation between Germany and the countries of South East Europe, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung considers translations of landmark decision of the Federal Constitutional Court as an important step in the realm of preserving fundamental rights and liberties, safeguarding the constitutional order and applying the rule of law. All decision so far translated can be accessed in several official languages of the countries of South East Europe (PDF file and EPUB).
