Französische Frauen in der Politik

In Deutschland herrscht bezüglich Frankreich vielfach das Bild der „gelebten Gleichberechtigung“ zwischen Frauen und Männern vor. Die Annahme, dass Frauen im Berufsleben weniger benachteiligt zu sein scheinen, basiert zu einem nicht unerheblichen Teil auf dem französischen Betreuungssystem für Kinder, das sich auf ein enges Netz aus Kinderhort, Tagesmüttern und Vorschule stützt.

Auch wenn der Begriff „Rabenmutter“ kein französischsprachiges Äquivalent hat, wird häufig außer Acht gelassen, dass Gleichberechtigung nicht nur die gesetzlichen und sozialen Rahmenbedingungen voraussetzt, sondern auch in allen gesellschaftlichen Sphären und durch alle Akteure gelebt werden muss. Gerade im politischen Bereich scheint sich Parität in Frankreich dabei erst seit den 2000er Jahren – und nicht immer spannungsfrei – durchgesetzt zu haben. Patriarchalische Strukturen lassen sich auch heute noch auf politischer Ebene ausmachen.
