The importance and effects of constitutional jurisprudence in Lebanon - Rule of Law Programme Middle East and North Africa
The provisions of the constitution give a wide scope to jurisprudence, as it stipulates the principles and rules governing the functioning of governmental and public institutions, the relations in society in all its forms, and provides the legal framework for political life.
The care given to the interpretation of the constitution by the decisions of the constitutional judiciary is of great importance as it resolves the ambiguity that may surround certain constitutional provisions.
Constitutional jurisprudence is therefore indispensable for safeguarding the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the constitution. In doing so, constitutional jurisprudence can ultimately contribute to fostering and strengthening constitutional justice.
