In cooperation with the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace, the Rule of Law Programme Middle East / North Africa of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation organises a two-day conference about democratic transitions and constitutional processes from Arabic and international perspectives. The aim of the conference is to analyse, compare, and put into perspective the constitutional processes resulting from the recent Arab uprisings. Participants to the conference will include numerous representatives of judicial institutions (inter alia the President of the Lebanese Constitutional Council, Issam Sleiman), ministers (inter alia the former Lebanese Minister of Justice, Ibrahim Najjar), scholars of constitutional law, as well as Arab and European ambassadors.
