Expert Panel Discussion and Student Debate on the role of Indigenous Knowledge on Climate Change in Zimbabwe

A discussion on how local rural communities have managed to adapt to the the changing climate and the lessons that have been passed down from generation to generation. The panel discussion draws from some leading scholars from the National University of Science and Technology in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and some community resilience experts from the local rural areas sorrounding Bulawayo. The discussion also offers a space for future researchers and academics to participate in the conversation in a way that initiates conversation, sparks interests and also breaks down very complex issues into very accessible ones by allowing university students to debate topics that expand their thinking on climate change issues affecting Zimbabwe. The topic for the day will be : The future of Zimbabwean daptation to the changing climate is in the prioritisation of Indegenous Knowledge.
