African Civil Society Circle

The African Civil Society Circle, a new initiative to strengthen Sub-Saharan voices in global development debates, holds its second workshop at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Johannesburg.

In cooperation with the Global Public Policy Institute, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung will hold a second workshop with Southern African civil society organizations and think tanks to further the establishment of the African Civil Society Circle, an initiative formed in August 2014 with the goal to strengthen Sub-Saharan voices in global development debates.

The 16 attending organizations will discuss topics such as the promotion of good governance in the post-MDG process and different perspectives on Financing for Development. The aim of the workshop is to deepen the cooperation between the organizations and to strengthen their common position regarding development policy.
