Prof. Wim de Villiers returned to South Africa to take up the post as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He is an acclaimed and respected researcher in the field of Gastroenterology. This will be his first public appearance at ‘his’ new university, and an especially unique opportunity for students to engage with their new rector, discuss the challenges of the tertiary education sector and deliberate on solutions.
