Renewable Energy and Community Impacts Report Back Meeting

The aim of this workshop was to present and evaluate research findings of the Mandela Institute's project "Renewable Impacts and Community Impacts".

The project addresses climate change concerns in South Africa, especially in the research regions Limpopo und Nothern Cape. The research project is intended to focus on two parts. The first part relates to reviewing government in relation to achieving a development objective that benefits communities. The second part is a focus on how renewable energy can address access to energy in rural areas and make communities economically active while improving standards of living.
