Educating and creating awareness over the radio

Friday, March 27th till March 30th 2020 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Zanzibar Female Lawyers Association (ZAFELA) conducted four radio programson Unguja, Zanzibar. The main objective was to introduce the book of “Haki za Mwanamke kwa Mujibu wa Quran na Sunna za Mtume Muhammad (s.a.w)” to the community.

On Saturday, March 7, 2020 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organized a workshop in Dar es Salaam on democracy and the rule of law. 150 students and 30 teachers of the Azania Secondary School participated.

The social market economy as a recipe for Tanzania

Chances and perspectives for Tanzania's economy and youth.

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Tanzania and the Civic Education Forum Tanzania (CETA) are working together to raise awareness on the question: what opportunities does the social market economy offer for young Tanzanians? For this purpose they organized a symposium in Morogoro on February 21 and 22, and invited 300 pupils and students from the region. Experts from business and education discussed with them about the social market economy and its significance for Tanzania.

Social Market Economy - Capacity Building for Youths

The Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organised a joint workshop in Dar es Salaam, from 24th to 25th October 2019. The workshop aimed at building capacities in understanding the Social Market Economy model as a gateway to entrepreneurship. More than 400 young people from apostolic association of the Catholic Church attended.

Social Market Economy capacity building for Women

The Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organised a joint workshop in Dar es Salaam, from 15th to 16th November 2019. The workshop aimed at strengthening engagement of women in economic development by building their capacities in understanding Social Market Economy as a gateway to entrepreneurship. The event brought together more than 100 female representatives throughout the country from apostolic associations of the Catholic Church namely Caritas Tanzania and Wanawake Wakatoliki Tanzania (WAWATA).

SENSITIZATION FOR SMALL & MEDIUM BUSINESS ASWELL AS THE PRIVATE STAKEHOLDERS

The National Economic Empowerment Council (NEEC) in close collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organized a workshop on 22nd November 2019. The purpose was to sensitize business and private sector stakeholders on the concept of Social Market Economy (SME) in a Tanzanian perspective. One hundred participants attended the workshop.

Connectivity, the use of internet services and their implications for the people

From 7th to 10th of November 2019 the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and The Launch Pad held a conference on Digitalization in East Africa. The Event was attended by 80 participants from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. This fruitful conference started with an introductory opening session for all participants followed by four panels were each par-ticipant choose between two topics.

Women Rights according to the Qur’an

On November 2nd 2019, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) held a workshop with the Zanzibar Female Lawyer Association (ZAFELA) to launch the Book “Haki za wanawake kwa mujibu wa Qur’an na Sunnah za mtume (S.A.M.)”. This Book on Women Rights according to the Qur’an was launched and introduced to the members of ZAFELA in Unguja

A JOINT WORKSHOP BETWEEN WAWATA AND JUWAKITA IN DAR ES SALAAM

On 19th and 20th of October 2019, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) held a workshop with the Catholic Women of Tanzania (WAWATA) and the Association of Muslim Women (JUWAKITA) on the Rights of Women. 80 Women from all over Tanzania participated. This Joint workshop was a continuity of two separate workshops that took place in the year 2018.

The Civic Education Forum in Tanzania (CETA) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organised a joint workshop in Kasulu, Kigoma region on 27 and 28 September 2019. The theme of the event was “Social Market Economy as a Gateway to Entrepreneurship”. More than 600 students ― from secondary schools and higher learning institutions as well as universities students from Kasulu and from outside Kasulu attended.
