Media Dialogue 2 & 3 (Year2):
Lessons Learned from the 2021 World Heritage Sites
Zoom and Facebook Live | Tuesday, August 31, 2021 | 13:00 – 15:30 (BKK Time)
And Tuesday, September 7, 2021 | 13:00 – 15:30 (BKK Time)
Based on the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee occurring in July 2021, the world’s community has learned one critical fact that a number of World Heritage Sites across the globe including Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex have been facing ongoing demand for their resources from developments or utilization. This fact has become more complex and cannot be managed through one particular approach.
The news agency Bangkok Tribune, supported by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Thailand, is organizing two consecutive-weekly online dialogues to celebrate the occasion that Kaeng Krachan Forest Complex has been added to the World Heritage List last month. This is meant to address challenges against conservation and preservation of the heritage sites. How it should be proceeded through many levels of execution, and among multiple influences.
The conferences are the second and the third of another year of a series of Media Dialogues on Current Thai, Regional and Global Developments with regard to Social and Environmental Issues organized by the Bangkok Tribune and the KAS. They will take place on Tuesday, August 31 and September 7 respectively at 13:00 (Bangkok Time) via Zoom and Facebook Live, and will be conducted in Thai language.
