Socioeconomic and Political Development in Southeast Asia: Looking Back and Looking Ahead
An international seminar co-organised by KAS and the College of the Local Administration (COLA) of Khon Kaen University will broaden participants’ knowledge and understanding on history and background of the socioeconomic and political development that shape the mutual vision on economics and policy development in Southeast Asian region. Besides, upon the panel discussion session, the stage will open for viewpoint exchange about challenge faced in local governance and sustainable development policy in the region in order to encourage further collaborated researches and policy analysis works among ASEAN member countries and even within its sub-regions.

Knowledge Enhancement Course for Administrative Case Officials
Provisional Measures before Delivery of Judgement
The Office of the Administrative Courts of Thailand (OAC) with the support from KAS will organise a lecture course intending to enhance knowledge and expertise of the administrative courts officials in the topics related to the court proceedings which involve, for example, suspension of by-laws and administrative orders, provisional remedial measures, the protection of applicant’s interest, the rejection and dismissal of provisional measures application, and etc.

Media Promotion: Efficient Reporting on Modern Development in EEC Area
KAS in cooperation with the Forum 21, a civil society institute for social development, will hold a seminar series to enhance the quality of all EEC area-related communities through the work of local media. It is expected that the collaboration between the local media groups and the local organisations in areas of economic and social significance of the EEC will be strengthened for further development in the region.

Preparation for Administration of Administrative Justice via E-Court System
Regarding the 20-year master plan of the Office of the Administrative Courts of Thailand (OAC), a special lecture in cooperation with KAS Thailand Office will be held to prepare administrative judges, court executives, including court officials for the launching of the courts’ new electronic system which is targeted to uphold administrative justice in a fair, fast, and modern manner in strengthening good governance of the society.

Strategic Planning for Mass Communication and Public Relations on the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in 2019
As Thailand is the host for the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly 2019, the workshop that KAS will co-organise with the Secretariat of the National Assembly (SNA) aims to set up strategic plan and system for mass communication and public relations for this event as well as to create professionalism and build related network among the parliamentary officers responsible for this field of works.

IPPS Annual Meeting 2019
Upon the annual meeting, the Institute of Public Policy Studies (IPPS) supported by KAS Thailand Office will gather network members and organisations to hear the reporting about directions of IPPS works and about last year’s success as well as the presentation of work plans for next three years. Therewith there will be a special discussion session on the civic education in order to open stage for participants to discuss and propose ideas for further development on related policies.

Upon the annual meeting, the Population and Community Development Association (PDA) supported by KAS Thailand Office will assemble its project coordinators, project assistants, and project staffs to discuss about the work plans and guideline for the submission of project’s financial reports for next three years.
