2nd KAS Turkey Information and Dialogue Program for Young Journalists
"Insights into the work of German and Turkish media - Political Communication in Germany and Turkey"
The application process for the second Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Turkey Information and Dialogue Program for Young Journalists has now started.
With this program, KAS Turkey would like to enable journalists from Germany and Turkey to conduct joint researches and thus get to know the opinions and perspectives of both countries and cultures better.
Application criterias
Full-time journalists as well as freelance journalists working in the visual, audio and print media from Germany and Turkey, can apply.
Age limit: max. 35 years
Minimum 3 years of professional experience
For better understanding, applicants should, if possible, speak the language of the partner country or have a very good knowledge of English
Required documents for application
A résumé in German or English with photo
Motivation letter
Five current work samples from 2020 and 2021 (articles, news, interviews, audio and/or visual recordings, etc.)
Letter of recommendation from the head of department or editor-in-chief

Selection process
The deadline for submitting the application documents is February 15th, 2022. All applications will be evaluated by the end of February 2022 and the results will be also announced on our website and our social media channels.
Scope of the scholarship
One-week program both in Turkey and Germany will be carried out, probably in 2022. Within the framework of the program the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Turkey will organize visits and meetings. The right of participation remains valid even if it cannot be carried out due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
