Objective
With this scholarship, KAS Turkey would like to enable journalists from Germany and Turkey to do researches on articles together, to get to know both countries and cultures better. The theme for the 2021 scholarship is:
"Insight into the work of German and Turkish media - Political Communication in Germany / Turkey"
Requirements
Journalists from all kinds of media in Germany and Turkey
Age limit: max. 35 years
Applicants should be full-time journalists and have min. 3 years of professional experience in print media, TV or radio
For better understanding, applicants should, if possible, speak the language of the partner country or have a very good knowledge of English

A résumé in German or English with a photo
Motivation letter
Five current work samples from 2019 and 2020
Letter of recommendation from the head of department or editor-in-chief
Selection process
The applications will be evaluated by the end of January 2021. The prize announcement will take place at the beginning of February 2021.
The scholarship stay is planned for spring 2021. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the program might be postponed. If the program should not be carried out in 2021, the scholarship will remain valid for the rest of the year.
