Since 2008, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Turkey in cooperation with the Strategic Studies Implementation and Research Centre of the Başkent University Ankara has organized the Istanbul Security Conference® (ISC) which addresses key regional issues and their global implications. The annual meeting of security experts and international decision-makers from politics, diplomacy and academia has now established itself as one of the most important and largest security conferences in the region. The ISC's network now comprises more than 25 countries, with a growing number of participants each year, most recently over 200.

This years’ ISC 2021 conference is devoted to the future of NATO, current status of migration and the new role of Turkey in the region. The participation at the conference is only possible on personal invitation.
