Sie sprachen über die Veränderungen, die der Energiesektor durchlaufen müsse, um Ugandas Wirtschaft zukünftig produktiver zu gestalten

South Sudanese community in Byeyale refugee settlement united to resolve conflict.
At various refugee settlements in Uganda where South Sudanese reside, there have been outbursts of violence along ethnic lines. It is based on this background that on Saturday 4th august 2018, the Network of South Sudanese Civil Society Organizations in Uganda (NoSSCOU) and its implementing partner SSOW Care Foundation with support from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) carried a civic education awareness discussion on the role of community involvement in conflict resolution in Bweyale refugee settlement of Kiryadongo district in Northern Uganda.

In verschiedenen Flüchtlingssiedlungen in Uganda, in denen vorwiegend Südsudanesen leben, kam es zu Ausbrüchen von Gewalt entlang ethnischer Zugehörigkeiten. Vor diesem Hintergrund veranstalteten das Netzwerk südsudanesischer zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen in Uganda (NOSSCOU) und sein Implementierungspartner SSOW Care Foundation mit Unterstützung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) am Samstag, den 4. August 2018, ein Sensibilisierungstraining.

Kiboga local leaders participate in a two day civic
For the third time, the Governance Accountability Civil society network of Uganda (GAIN Uganda)organized a civic education training for its members in 13 districts in four regions. One of the trainings took place in Bukomero, Kiboga, where representatives of different communities came together to talk about democracy.

Verbesserte Bürgerbeteiligung: Regionalpolitiker aus Kiboga nehmen an einem Workshop zur Bürgerbeteiligung teil.
Zum dritten Mal organisierte das Governance Accountability Civil Society-Netzwerk Uganda (GAIN Uganda) für seine Mitglieder in 13 Distrikten eine Schulung in ziviler Bürgerbeteiligung und politischer Bildung. Eine der Schulungen fand in Bukomero, Kiboga statt. Dort trafen sich Vertreter des Gemeinderates, der Bürgermeister und Mitglieder verschiedener Gemeinden, um gemeinsam über die Rolle von Bürgern und des Staat auf lokaler Ebene zu sprechen.

On Friday, 27th of July, the Youth 4 Policy (Y4P) fellows met two outstanding experts in their respective fields. With Prof. Dr. Maggie Kigozi, who formerly served as Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), and Charles Mwangushya, a seasoned journalist with the Nation Media Group (NMG). These two discussed with the Y4P fellows strategies on how to gain public support for their policy proposals and make them relevant.
