This is attributed to a host of factors like: discriminatory cultural traditions, abject poverty, high illiteracy rate among women, low economic power etc. Therefore, in order to amplify the voices of women, special efforts and strategies need to be developed and applied to include adequate women participation in national decision-making processes.
