For this reason, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, together with numerous partner organisations, is hosting Cafe Kyiv for the fourth time on Monday, 23 February 2026.

In line with this vision, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is set to host another edition of "Cafe Kyiv" on 19 February 2024, themed "The Future of Ukraine in Europe". Building on the success of last year's event, this edition will blend art, history, film screenings, along with culinary and creative elements. Our commitment remains unchanged: We continue to stand by Ukraine's side. And as long as the challenge persists, we will face it together.

Geopolitische Zeitenwende? Die Ukraine und die Zukunft der EU

Internationale Fachkonferenz der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung und des Zentrums Liberale Moderne

Am 12. November 2025 fand in der Akademie der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung die internationale Konferenz „Geopolitische Zeitenwende? – Die Ukraine und die Zukunft der EU“ statt, organisiert von der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zentrum Liberale Moderne. Im Mittelpunkt stand die Frage, wie eine strategisch ausgerichtete Erweiterungspolitik der EU insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Ukraine und die östliche Nachbarschaft gestaltet werden kann. Ganztägig wurde vor vollen Rängen unter Einbeziehung des Publikums diskutiert. Die jüngste Veröffentlichung des EU-Erweiterungspakets und die Intensivierung des russischen Luftkriegs gegen ukrainische Städte sorgten für starkes Interesse an der Thematik der Konferenz, welche internationale Experten und deutsche Politiker zusammenbrachte.

On 14 November, an event dedicated to the role of Ukraine within NATO’s collective security system took place in Kyiv. The panel discussion “Anchored in Security: NATO–Ukraine Defence Cooperation”, a joint initiative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Office Ukraine and the Sahaidachnyi Security Center, brought together members of parliament, representatives of the Government of Ukraine, the NATO Representation to Ukraine, embassy officials, leading analysts, MilTech experts and the broader public.

Presentation of the study "Education in the Temporarily Occupied Territories"

Event report

On October 14, 2025, a presentation of the study “Education in the Temporarily Occupied Territories” took place in Odesa. The research was prepared by the Eastern Human Rights Group and the Institute for Strategic Studies and Security. The event was organized with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Office in Ukraine and brought together about 70 participants from various fields - representatives of political parties, educators, psychologists, human rights defenders, veterans’ unions, civil society organizations, and the prosecutor’s office. Participants discussed the impact of Russian propaganda, militarization, and psychological pressure on children living in the temporarily occupied territories, as well as the long-term challenges of cognitive de-occupation. The presentation served as a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue and for developing solutions in the areas of education, identity, and reintegration.

25–27 вересня 2025 року у Львові пройшов третій триденний семінар «Жіноче лідерство в місцевій громаді», організований за підтримки Представництва Фонду Конрада Аденауера в Україні у партнерстві з Інститутом Політичної Освіти. У заході взяли участь 29 активних жінок із різних регіонів України, які мали нагоду поєднати теоретичну підготовку з практичним досвідом, аби підвищити власну ефективність у розбудові та підтримці своїх громад.

International security experts discuss Black Sea strategy in Ukraine against the backdrop of the Russian war

From May 30 to June 1, 2025, the annual Black Sea Security Forum was held at the Odessa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation was the institutional partner of the event dedicated to security in the Black Sea region for the first time. High-ranking government officials, experienced political experts, and representatives of the media and civil society from around the world gathered in the Ukrainian city of Odessa to discuss opportunities for stabilizing the political climate in the Black Sea region. Among the invited guests were the 5th President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, the 70th US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo; and former British Defence Minister Ben Wallace.

Inclusive education: Equal opportunities for everyone

A project for anyone who is ready to take responsibility for positive change in our environment.

Were there people with disabilities in your community 10 to 20 years ago? Unless they were relatives or acquaintances, most people didn't even think about the fact that there were many such people around them—they are our neighbors, colleagues, fellow passengers. They are part of our community. However, for decades, Ukraine's infrastructure ignored their needs. Multi-story buildings without elevators or ramps, crossings without audible signals, public transportation without lifts, schools with narrow doors and inaccessible toilets – all this created a world in which certain people were excluded. With the start of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the aspect of disability and accessibility are no longer marginal. Each of us now has a relative or acquaintance who has suffered injuries, amputations, loss of hearing or sight, or a stress-related disorder. We are already forced to live with the consequences of the largest armed conflict in Europe in the 21st century. The challenges facing the country are not abstract—they require responsibility from each and every one of us on a daily basis. For this reason, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Office in Ukraine, in cooperation with the NGO KNGU, is implementing a series of youth projects on the topic of inclusion to promote a culture of mutual respect, solidarity, and responsibility - values that are necessary for the further development of a modern, European Ukraine.

Міжнародний форум "Діалоги про Європу"

9 травня 2025 року на Закарпатті відбувся міжнародний форум «Діалоги про Європу-2025», що зібрав близько сотні учасників із України та країн Центрально-Східної Європи. Експерти, медійники та представники громадянського суспільства обговорювали нову геополітичну реальність Європи в умовах протистояння з осією, посилення ультраправих настроїв, зростання впливу Китаю і зміни ролі США. У центрі уваги були теми переосмислення концепції Центральної Європи, шлях України до ЄС, виклики добросусідства й демократична стійкість. Ініціатором форуму був Інститут Центральноєвропейської Стратегії, партнерами виступили Представництво ФКА в Україні, ЄС, Міжнародний фонд"Відродження", програма MATRA, проєкт Dilemma й Коаліція Реанімаційний Пакет Реформ - РПР.

«Під час війни передусім гине свобода віросповідання»

Із 28 квітня до 3 травня 2025 року члени Всеукраїнської ради церков і релігійних організацій (ВУРЦРО) відвідали Нью-Йорк і Вашингтон. Тут група провела понад двадцять зустрічей, зустрівшись із експертами з політичних і релігійних питань, а також представниками аналітичних центрів, університетів і Організації Об'єднаних Націй. Мета поїздки полягала в поглибленні міжрелігійного діалогу між Україною і США, а також привернення уваги до викликів, із якими зіткнулася Україна у зв’язку з війною.
