Details

As the EU and the transatlantic partners of choice are both individually and collectively faced with challenges presented by recent world events such as conflict in Ukraine, continued volatility in the Middle East and instability of financial systems vis-à-vis emerging markets, they must move forward with a sustainable course of action. However, the question arises whether Europe will be able to maintain a leading role within this community of shared values or not.

Dr. Pöttering will address this question and present his unique insights as to whether or not Europe is a global player or a loser in this scenario.

At the invitation of the American Council on Germany (ACG), Dr. Pöttering will also participate in the Eric M. Warburg Chapter Tour as part of the Dr. Henry A. Kissinger Transatlantic Speaker Series.
