In light of the upcoming German Bundestag elections on September 22, the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation Washington will host a roundtable discussion on the significance of the elections and it’s impact on Germany’s transatlantic partnerships.

The main question posed during this discourse is how the parliamentary elections in Septemeber will impact Germany's tranatlantic outlook and how this will be reflected in policy.

Framing this discussion, participants from both the German and American press will also engage in dialogue on how current topics such as the NSA’s surveillance of European allies and the negotiations surrounding the planned Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) will have an impact on Germany’s relationships to its transatlantic partners moving forward.
