From June 8-13, 2014, Peter Beyer MdB will visit Canada and the United States for a dialogue program with elected officials, policy experts and business representatives.

During his program in North America, Mr. Beyer will meet with elected officials, policy experts and members of the business community to discuss trade and current challenges in the transatlantic relationship, particularly in regard to economic issues and broader foreign policy issues, such as energy policy and the situation in the Ukraine.

Mr. Beyer has been the special rapporteur on transatlantic relations for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag since 2009. He serves on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and on the Defense Committee.
