As part of the International Democrat Union (IDU) Executive Meeting, to be held Sept. 16-18, 2018, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Los Angeles, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation USA is organizing a panel discussion on Monday, September 17 guided by the theme "The Future of Conservatism" in Westlake, CA. Canada's former Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper, who will be attending his first Executive Meeting as the newly elected IDU Chairman, will be in charge of the moderation. The panel consists of Dr. Klaus Schüler, Chief Executive Officer of the CDU. RNC campaign strategist Terry Nelson, Founding Partner of FP1 Strategies, Danielle Pletka, Senior Vice President of the American Enterprise Institute, and Ambassador Kristen Silverberg, Managing Director of the Institute of International Finance. As societies become more individualized and political preferences become continuously fragmented and polarized, how will conservative parties and thought leaders cope with these changes?
