From February 23 to 28, 2014, Dr. Jürgen Rüttgers, former Prime Minister of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, will visit the United States for a dialogue program with American politicians and business representatives.

During the dialogue program, which includes several roundtable discussions, Dr. Jürgen Rüttgers will exchange views with the American dialog partners about the current challenges of the transatlantic relationship. During the talks, the NSA revelations and the current negotiations between the US and Europe about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership will feature prominently. One aim of the program is to contribute to the rebuilding of trust between the transatlantic partners. The talks will take place in Washington, DC and Boston, MA.
