From July 2 to 3, 2025, the Forum Économique Côte d’Ivoire 2025 took place at the Novotel Marcory in Abidjan.

Around 50 participants from Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, and Togo came together at the invitation of the KAS Regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa.

Interreligious Dialogue 2020

The third edition of the Interreligious Dialogue was held from 18 to 19 February 2020 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

The dialogue - a joint initiative of the « Centre de Recherche Politique d’Abidjan » (CRPA), the Embassy of Israel and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) - brought together more than 150 participants. Rabbi Akiva Zyzek, as a French-speaking teacher from the 'Oz Lé-Israel' community, represented the perspective of Judaism during the conference. In addition, among the guests were representatives of the Catholic, Protestant and Free Churches and of Muslim communities from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea.

The Regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) asked LOOKA, a market research service for Africa, to conduct the survey "Vendors and Consumers Facing COVID-19 in Abidjan - Attitudes, Reactions and Perspectives".

COVID-19 Strategic Orientations based on case studies in Guinea, Benin and Togo

This quantitative research is based on a sample of 1500 residents of Benin, Togo and Guinea, who expressed their reactions, fears and needs in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. This report is published as a contribution to the combined efforts of governments and civil society in Benin, Togo and Guinea in the fight against COVID-19. We hope that the data presented and the analysis will be used to guide existing initiatives and encourage new ones, as well as to foster public-private partnerships to respond to the spread of the coronavirus in Benin, Togo, Guinea and beyond.

The regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organised, in partnership with the National Council for Human Rights in Côte d'Ivoire (CNDHCI), a training seminar on the theme "Assessing human rights during the electoral period".

The credibility of journalism

The Regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organised a workshop for journalists at the Hotel Capitol in Abidjan from 31 August to 4 September 2020 on the topic "The credibility of journalism".

The training was conducted by three experts and was attended by 27 participants, including students of journalism, long-standing journalists and press directors.

Addressing hate speech and violence during the electoral period

Given the key role that the media plays in a democracy, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the National Union of Journalists of Côte d'Ivoire (UNJCI) joined forces to organise a seminar during which directors of different media outlets exchanged views on how the media in Côte d’Ivoire can contribute to a peaceful electoral process.

Political Academy - Proposals for improving the situation of young people in Côte d'Ivoire

From the 28th to the 30th July 2020, the Regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in cooperation with the Youth Council of the District of Abidjan (COJEDA) organised a "Political Academy" in Grand-Bassam on the topic "Proposals for improving the situation of young people in Côte d'Ivoire".

Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on digital cooperation and citizens' trust in the media

From the 6th to the 17th July 2020, a multi-stakeholder dialogue was held via an online conference on the following theme: “Considering the increasing digital interdependence, what needs to be done to improve digital cooperation and strengthen citizens' confidence in the media?”

The online conference was organised by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in partnership with the National Union of Journalists of Côte d'Ivoire (UNJCI) and the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and was divided into two parts.
