From July 2 to 3, 2025, the Forum Économique Côte d’Ivoire 2025 took place at the Novotel Marcory in Abidjan.

Around 50 participants from Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, and Togo came together at the invitation of the KAS Regional Programme Political Dialogue West Africa.

Benin: The responsibilities of local elected officials under the microscope

KAS carried out its "Face the People" activity

From 23 to 25 April 2024, and again on 27 April 2024, the Regional Programme for Political Dialogue in West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) trained elected officials from Benin and opened a discussion forum for constituents, in front of their representatives, in the commune of Calavi.

What do the different faiths say about migration?

Men of faith have deliberated on the subject in the sub-region.

"Religion and Migration" was the theme of the 7th edition of the Interreligious Dialogue, organized by the Regional Program for Political Dialogue in West Africa of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the Israeli Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire, and the Political Research Center of Abidjan.

Côte d'Ivoire's decentralization policy meets development challenges

KAS PDWA scholarship holders and Grand-Bassam town council

On Saturday June 29, 2024, our scholarship holders from Côte d'Ivoire visited the municipality of Grand-Bassam, 30 km from Abidjan, to gain a better understanding of the nexus of participatory governance and decentralization as an impetus for local development. Based on the case of the town of Grand-Bassam, located in what is known as Greater Abidjan, they examined the involvement of young people in local community development through these mechanisms.

The city of Kara hosted its 2nd interfaith forum

From Thursday July 11 to Friday July 12, 2024, the second edition of the Interreligious Youth Forum took place in Kara, Togo. The forum brought together over 70 young people from all regions of the country.

KAS builds capacity for elected officials in Lambanyi and Sonfonia

From August 12 to 14, 2024, KAS trained elected officials and agents of the town halls of the new municipalities of Lambanyi and Sonfonia, located in the city of Conakry in Guinea. About fifty participants took part in this activity, called "Facing the people", a partnership between KAS PDWA and IPED Guinea.

The highlight of a fruitful stay in the neighbouring country

From July 27 to August 1, 2024, a delegation from the Regional Political Dialogue Program in West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) stayed in Liberia, particularly in the capital Monrovia, to consolidate partnerships in the country, culminating in an audience with the President of the Republic.

Conference on Women's Political Participation in Grand-Bassam

West African women were trained in political visibility and engagement.

From August 27 to 29, 2024, women politicians from the subregion participated in training sessions organized under the Regional Program for Political Dialogue in West Africa, which provided them with the fundamentals of successful political presence. The focus was particularly on election campaigns, visibility, and influence over their constituents.

Annual conference 2024 of the PDWA scholarship holders

The annual scholarship holder conference took place from 11/12/2024 to 11/14/2024. This year, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation welcomed 23 scholarship holders from Guinea, Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin and Togo to Grand-Bassam in Côte d'Ivoire.
