30 years of German reunification - Oficina de la Fundación en España y en Portugal
Transmisión en vivo
Detalles
German reunification constitutes the most significant peaceful transformation in Germany's eventful history and at the same time the culmination of an upheaval in world history. It was initiated by courageous people in East Germany and Eastern Europe and completed by Helmut Kohl, the Chancellor of Unity, whose 90th birthday we are commemorating this year. Thirty years on, we face new, no less fundamental challenges worldwide - the relevance of national solutions, however, is becoming increasingly questionable in the face of global threats such as climate change or a pandemic.
For several months now, the Corona pandemic has been forcing us, including the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, to resort to fundamental changes of our way of life and work. This is why this year's KAS Day will be different from previous years: we will talk about 30 years of German unity with Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel and Donald Tusk, Chairman of the European People's Party, on www.kas.de, facebook and youtube.
Before the discussion, we will present ourselves and our work by digital means and answer your questions from our virtual "KAS-Studio on German Unity". You are cordially invited to follow us and take part in our online event on the Day of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
