The food of the people depends on the agricultural and livestock sector  activity and besides  represents significant percentages of the workforce. In the cities, the COVID 19 forced us to take shelter in our homes, but the agricultural and livestock sector continued to function and thanks to farmers, cattle ranchers and the related logistics chain there was no lack of supplies.

Unfortunately, this sector is often relegated to public policy, which is a wake-up call even more now that the Latin American region is trying to overcome the impact of the global health crisis, the economic slowdown, unprecedented climate phenomena and an overwhelming migration crisis (World Bank, 2020).
