WACEE2019-picture
Green economy development pathway would have economic, environmental and social benefits in the medium to long term in Africa. Entrepreneurial ecosystem described as the conditions that help to bring people together and foster economic prosperity and wealth creation while preserving the environment is nowadays seen as an important key for green economy. Many young start-ups within West Africa are facing several issues such as ensuring products quality, governmental facilitations (for e.g. tax regulation, access to credit, policy, etc.) for their deployment and green growth. However, enabling ecosystem to a green economy will not happen automatically. It needs to be facilitated by various enabling conditions, including policy reforms, government incentives, regulations, quality standards and capacity development. The goal is therefore to promote a dialogue and exchange on different facilities in order to support green start-ups development.

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change Sub-Saharan Africa, based in Yaoundé, Cameroon and the
Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK), Ghana have partnered to offer french and english panel sessions on the following topic:

How to accelerate green entrepreneurship in West Africa? Political reforms, investment conditions and regional cooperation (English)

Experiences from the ground: Challenges and opportunities for start-ups in West Africa (French)
